Dry Powder Inhaler Inspection

On-line custom machine vision system to provide inspection for a Dry Powder Inhaler device for the treatment of respiratory disease. The vision system contains four stations, each inspecting a different part of the product. Station 1 inspects the quality of the printing and the placement of the print on the dosage rings. Station 2 inspects the dosage rings that are about to be placed into a base assembly will be verified as having the correct and expected dosage. Station 3 inspects the completeness and positioning of the Idler Gear Teeth and the Index Ring Gear Teeth. And, station 4 verifies the presence and placement of key inhaler device components, as well as inspecting the inhaler mouthpiece for short shots.
