VisionGuard Overview

Machine Vision Consulting´s VisionGuard© directly supports the ability of the Cognex In-Sight® Vision Sensors to be part of a validated 21 CFR Part 11 installation. VisionGuard© creates a protected-access front-end interface to provide the features necessary to include an In-Sight™-based vision system in a validated medical, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing application. VisionGuard© provides access-control, change tracking, and basic reporting.

System & Vision Requirements

• A means to include an In-Sight Vision Sensor as part of a validated medical, pharmaceutical, or industrial project.
• Support for up to eight In-Sight® Vision Sensor installations.
• Support for multiple user levels and multiple users, with passwords and specific permissions set for each user access level.
• Event tracking of any access (login/logout) to VisionGuard©.
  • Capturing the login ID and the time.
• Event tracking of any changes made to the In-Sight® job file.
  • Tracking who was logged in when the change was made,
  • Capturing when the change was made, and
  • What element was changed, including the original data in that element and the new data.
• Event tracking data reported in a secure PDF format.
• Designed for ease-of-use and ease-of-changeover.
• Can be customized by MVC to include application specific requirements.
